Con No ready-to-use 3D engine
Any individual who want to create 3D game have to reinvent the wheel based on partial, sometimes obsolete, documentation, spend/waste a lot of time NOT actually working on the game itself, exhausting energy and will, to most probably give up along the way, as many people have done already.
